Thank God that I had liberal JW parents. We just attended all the meeting, NO field service!!! The meetings were enough. I remember as a teen I began to have headaches. Looking back it was probably JW stress. So anytime I really wanted to miss a meeting I got a head ache Now I did have an aunt and uncle who were hardcore JW and when I would spend the weekend with them it was a totally different story. Sat morning field service, Sat night study WT, Sun meeting and maybe Field service after Sunday meeting

reason being my jw once told me that all jw children love the door to door (yeah right) and they have all afternoon to play.
don't they need to get ready for the sunday service?

Why is it ...

why is it that i can marry a perfectly decent "worldly" man - good provider, never married, no children, generous ... yet i'm "marked"; while another "sister" can wait out for a presently "married" brother who admits he loves her, claims his marriage is problematic, claims he's getting a divorce ... and no one bats an eyelid?
do they really believe the stupid "jw tag" is sooooo valuable?

check this out...I have an JW aunt who's JW husband confessed to adultry. Rumor is that the second woman was doing things for him sexually that his JW wife wouldn't do (go figure). The elders said everything was cool as long as he got the second woman to come into the "truth". so he divorces his wife of over 30+ years now he's with the new wife happily in God's organization

I'm often asked of people about the WTS "What's the motive, is it control or money?"
How much money do you think the average JW contributes to the WTS each month? Is this personal money, money from selling books or what? I've herd that many people leave money to the WTS upon their death...is this also a normal practice? I understand that all the labor is free but I'm just trying to get a better understanding on the money thing.

As a child I was fearful of the simplist things being demonic. As a young adult I often had "end of the world" nightmares (some I still remember in great detail). I look back now and realize that alot of the educational/career choices that I didn't make were because of the fear of displeasing Jehovah:-( Same story...over and over.

Why do dubs act as if 1975 wasn't failed prophesy or misleading?
by NotaNess infrom the evidence i have found, it was all but etched in stone.
so why try and defend the wts by saying "they never stated armageddon would be in 1975", as one witness tried to throw back at me.. seems that you could show them all the evidence in the world of this false organization, and it will repel right off them.
is there some sort of "force field" kool-aid they're serving at the halls?.

Right as I began to question to whole WT teaching I asked my JW mother about the whole 1975 thing (which was new to me). Her reply was that "this is Jehovahs perfect organization ran by imperfect human beings"....WHAT????? How can imperfection be found in perfection? Perfect JW answer, huh? I think that alot of them know something ain't right but it's hard to admit that you have been living a lie...scary thought.

This is from the April 1, 2007 Watchtower. page 24, paragraph 12
Emphasis added
"A fundamental reason for showing PROPER RESPECT for the faithful slave class is that by so doing, we are in fact showing respect for the Master, Jesus Christ."
"Therefore, when we loyally submit to the direction of the faithful slave and it's Governing Body, we are submitting to Christ, the slave's Master."
Sounds like the same thing as I was always taught. Obedience to the Governing Body = Obedience to Jesus. The teaching is the same, Just follow us, we'll be your Jesus...your salvation.
